Who Are We

Verdict is a Guild with only one purpose - to progress and every action taken will be towards that direction. This does not mean of course that for progress' sake we will sacrifice everything else, no we will not. We want our members to enjoy the game without the need to sacrifice everything else, thus we intend to focus more on the quality, rather than quantity on every aspect, whether that means raiding hours, or amount of players within the guild. We will try everything to be balanced, to the extent that is possible of course.

We strongly believe that in order to progress it takes much more than some very skilled players, or experienced leadership, we would say that the most important thing is the community and the environment within the guild. If we operate in a healthy environment where teamwork and decency are not unknown words to the majority of the people, then we can say that we have taken the right path. From our part as the leading team, we will do everything to achieve what is described above, even if it takes some times to make some hard calls, we feel confident that sooner or later we will reach our final goal.

In Verdict recruitment is never closed for any of the classes. We do have limited raider spots for each class but players who believe they are exceptionally good can always challenge and eventually outperform some of our current raiders and thus become part of the guild. The guild's main objectives are high-end raiding combined with well-developed community of exceptional players. Therefore, if you consider yourself as a person sharing our perspective you're more than welcome to give it a shot and impress us with an excellent application.

Currently we raid 5 days per week, 19:00-23:30, Friday and Saturday always being non-raiding days, unless under exceptional circumstances.When progressing on the ICC hard-modes our raids are often extended.


Most of Verdict’s core members have been playing this game since the early days of beta and have seen every bit of content available today, so experience and synergy are on our side. We have progressed together from Gruul’s Lair through Sunwell, Trial of the Grand Crusader (Tribute to Insanity (25 Player) and now finally Icecrown Citadel Heroic Modes. We will continue playing together in this expansion, Cataclysm and anything else that Blizzard has in store for us.

Recruitment Status:

Applications by exceptional players from every class are welcome.

NOTE: As previously stated, recruitment is never closed for any class. We’re always on the lookout for exceptional players and are willing to give them a chance to prove themselves.

Here's a short list of requirements, without which this relationship between yourself and Verdict will not work.

You:

- are expected to have exceptional knowledge of your class – enchant/gems, itemization, spec, glyphs is only the start. Exceptional knowledge goes way beyond what you can read on random websites. You should be able to adapt to any circumstance during the raid and execute swiftly any task assigned to you by the raid leader.
- are able to take criticism. Sometimes it might be harshly put, but you need to understand that it is ABSOLUTELY NEVER personal. Learn from it and take it into consideration and do not ignore it, just because you didn’t like the way it was said to you.
- are able to maintain very high attendance and to always have the decency to inform in advance if for any reason you cannot attend a raid. We value that a lot in our members and are always willing to understand.
- are able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English. Having Ventrilo and a microphone is a must.
- are able to take jokes from your guild mates. If you are the sensitive type, then this might not be the right place for you.
- are able to understand the fact that if the encounter we’re attempting requires a specific setup, you might have to bench. The guild and its progress are by far the most important thing.
- are able to understand the fact that loot is by no means the end goal. It is simply the tool which the guild uses to achieve its main target – progress.

We offer a very strong community with mature and excellent players, it won’t take long before you fit in and feel yourself at home. The atmosphere in the raids is usually calm and focused during progress, although during farm raids we’re occasionally fooling around, laughing and so on and so forth. That however never gets in the way of killing a boss.
