“Divergent” Guild

We are a large and old Vanilla guild that strives for a balance between raiding and having fun. Because we are a large guild I regularly clean out toons that have not been online for 3+ months, so if you see a large number of 70s leave on specific days, it is because I removed AFK players.

We are located on Barthilas Horde, and are predominantly Australian with a sprinkling of overseas players. Divergent was created in 2006, has travelled through various different realms as a result of shifting realm demographics, had several name changes, and have outlived many of the top guilds wherever we have called home. Over the years we have had highs and lows in that we have reached the top 5-10 in some expansions, but fallen short in others.

Progression Raid is Thu/Mon 8-11 ST.

Alt/New Player Trial Raid is Sun 8-11ST.

Our Officer Core are predominantly Vanilla players who have carved through every Xpac with varying degrees of success, depending on Real Life commitments, with a few new players over the past few years. We strive to keep guild harmony in check because we understand that it is a game, and Real Life should never suffer at the expense of a game.

Guild Expectation
The only real expectation is to not be an arsehole to others. There is nothing worse than some idiot giving others therapy in Guild Chat. Those players generally get removed in favour of Guild Harmony.

Raid Expectations
As a raiding guild, you can probably imagine we require a few commitments from you. That being said, While we are not an elite guild, we do however still have the expectation of every player that they can follow the few simple requirements as follows:

Attendance and Punctuality
People have lives, and not everyone can commit to a raid schedule and that is fine, this does not mean you can't join this guild and can't raid with us casually, as life can pull mean and cruel stunts on people all the time and we may need someone to fill in. However, if you have the intention of maintaining a core position within this guild, we do expect you to be able to meet this schedule. All we ask is to keep us informed of your availability if you are a core raider.

Preparation
This one speaks for itself. All loot is now upgradeable using Flightstones and Crests. Our expectation is that our players in the primary team make the effort to upgrade their gear through quests or m+ runs. The Guild supplies food and flasks, and in return we ask that you come prepared with gear gemmed and enchanted. Also, please make sure you arrive on time, invites start from 7:45ST and if the group fills up because you are late then you only have yourself to blame.

Raid Attitude
We don't need players with inflated egos talking down to others. We also don't need players who can't accept responsibility for their own mistakes and who have an inability to learn from their mistakes. We are not all perfect, but a decent player can accept their mistakes and strive to rectify them so that the team can progress.

We presently have between 40-80 people online most nights, so there is plenty of m+ action, gearing and social interaction. Bottom line, all players are welcome.
