Direct Defiance started out as a group of friends on Kul Tiras, we moved to Silvermoon in February 2016 and our guild has continued to grow with more social members and raiders of various levels. Our members are from all over the world, the majority of us are from Europe.

We are a semi-hardcore raiding guild who love to raid and progress by constantly challenging ourselves. Each of our raiders are unique and bring something different to the table. Each day our guild is growing as is the fun and friendships between people.

So what is our goal?

We have done our Heroic progression and now it is the time for us all to bring our A - Game and take on the challenges that the Mythic bosses have to offer us. This will be a Team effort where dedication, preparation and communication will be key to our success. (After all there is no "I" in "team")

What can Direct Defiance offer you?

We offer you a stable and progressive raid environment. Friendly banter, jokes and cultivating friendships are also a key part of our raiding as it helps coping with intense progression. This is a great opportunity for you to develop and grow yourself individually as well as cement yourself into our core raiding group.

We have a very friendly and active guild that are always there to help anyone who needs advice to the very best of our abilities.

Our Discord is always open just head on over to the "chillout lounge" Where you can get to know your fellow raiders better and strengthen the bonds of friendship with fun.

Our raiding environment is aimed at people 18+ (younger people may join if they have a mature demeanour towards raids). Our main focus is the raid and progression as a whole. Communication is key to all our raids.


What do we expect from you?

We expect our raiders to have the right attitude and respect one another. Be diligent in building and working hard to push ourselves on every element of the game. Invest time in learning their characters and research tactics especially during progression. We encourage our raiders to ask for help and be willing to take in constructive criticism as we believe it will help build you as player and enrich our group as a whole.

Monday 20:30 - 23:30 Realm time

It is a requirement for our raiders to respond to calendar invites as soon as possible. We may extend raid or include additional raids especially during progress which will be duly advised. We also understand raiders can have real life commitments. It's also important you inform one of the officers at the earliest possible moment as there are 19 more people depending on us to ensure a smooth raiding experience.

Attitude!

Treat others as you would like to be treated is an age old saying, that is big part of our culture and one that we expect all our raiders to take to heart. We have a large community and it is sometimes natural for individuals to not get along. Whilst we understand it we expect you to be mature on how you handle it especially during raiding. Our main focus is on guild progression and building a stronger community and as such we expect our raiders to be team players and not just focus on personal gain.

Preparation!

It is a requirement for our raiders to come prepared to the raids with adequate potions, flasks, tomes, best available food for your class and your winning attitude! We use teamspeak 3 and English is the expected medium of communication. Make sure you have a working mic and headset. Have the right talents, glyphs, gear and trinkets equipped for each fight.

Guild Reputation!

As part of our guild you are also leaving an impression on non-guild members (pugs). We expect you to maintain a good reputation with everyone you encounter in game as your actions are a reflection on the guild.

Each new recruit will go through a trial period usually 3 weeks, this is your chance to impress us and show us what you are made of. You could also be one of the best players that we have in raid but if you fail on tactics or bring the wrong attitude you may not be given the raider rank and your trial period will be over.
