Crux of Humanity, the oldest active guild of the realm, was
established on October 23, 2007.
We are a casual guild that enjoys raiding but doesn't solely focus on it, resulting in a consistent level of activity since the end of the Burning Crusade expansion.
Who are we?
We are a close-knit community of friends and families, ranging from young children to silver-haired grandparents. We love spending time together as we tackle raids and other in-game content.
Can you join Crux?
Absolutely! We welcome players of all experience levels, from seasoned veterans to newcomers who have recently switched from trial accounts to the full game. We also extend our invitation to returning players in search of a guild to call home.
However, it's important to note that Crux has high standards and expects the same from its members. When you represent the guild, you represent each and every one of us. Any form of trolling, insults, racism, or any other socially unacceptable behavior, including illegal actions, will result in a permanent ban from the guild. In simple terms, please use common sense, be friendly, act with goodwill, and above all, enjoy the game.
We take pride in maintaining a drama-free environment within the guild. While clashes in personalities may occur, we remind everyone that this is a fantasy world where we come to relax and have fun. We strive to keep negativity to a minimum and savor the joys of the game, as the wise Pandaren would say.
If you decide to leave the guild to assist friends or for any other reason and later wish to return, we welcome you back as long as you left the guild on good terms.
Do we raid?
Yes, we do raid! Although we have a casual approach, we take raiding seriously and aim to conquer the content. Our guild typically ranks within the top 15 (often within the top 5) on the realm, depending on the availability of our raiders and how frequently we can engage in raiding. Most of our raiders are professionals with various work schedules, so our raiding schedule may vary, but we strive to maintain consistency by raiding on the same days each week.
If you're joining us for raiding, we expect you to be fully prepared with your character and have a good understanding of your class, specialization, and the mechanics of boss fights. It's important to remember that we are not a hardcore mythic raiding guild; we are a casual heroic guild that occasionally ventures into mythic content when we have the time and enough interested members.
For voice communication during raids, we use Discord. It's mandatory to be logged in and able to listen, though speaking is encouraged but not required. Raid consumables such as food and potions are the responsibility of the raiders, including flasks (especially at the start of raiding). However, we do provide Cauldrons and feasts for the majority of the time.
As self-proclaimed casuals, we must emphasize that we excel at wiping in raids, so patience is a virtue in our guild ;-).
Not interested in raiding that much?
If raiding isn't your cup of tea, don't worry! You are still more than welcome to join Crux and make it your home. Whether you enjoy leveling alts, collecting pets, running dungeons, challenging yourself with high Mythic+ keys, hunting for transmog sets, or any other aspect of the game, you'll find yourself in a pleasant, mature, and social environment that makes your online time truly rewarding.
If you're interested in joining our team, feel free to reach out to any officer in the guild or utilize the in-game guild recruiting tool.
The Cluster encompasses the realms of Arathor, Drenden, Anub'arak, Chromaggus, Crushridge, Garithos, Nathrezim, and Smolderthorn.
Current raid times: We raid 2-3 days a week, with some flexibility to ensure that our guildies have every other weekend off. However, the timing remains consistent from 8:30-10:30 pm EST (7:30-9:30 pm realm time).
