“Obscure Latin Name” Guild

The formation
OLN was formed after several attempts of trying to find a home proved fruitless, so we decided as a group of friends to do it ourselves. With collective experience going back to Vanilla and a multitude of CEs under our belts we knew we had what it took, and could create the environment we would thrive in.

The Leadership
The Leadership: The GM is Jeconti. The officers are Keksbykektal, Kioskara and Uwugin. Through these individuals you can find answers to any questions you may have which are not covered in this document. Guild leadership is always available and just a DM away–response times may vary based on work scheduled, real life, etc. But nobody gets ignored or left on read. We are approachable, friendly and willing to help–reach out!

Expectations
What we expect from our raiders is as follows;
Consistent (90%+) raid attendance per tier
Punctual and on-time for invites
Well-informed of raid mechanics and strategy AHEAD OF TIME (posted and provided) ⦁Up-to-date on class knowledge
Full utilization of the tools available (log review, one-on-one coaching, etc) ⦁Maximizing vault potential per week during prog (minimum 2 slots max ilvl/4 m+)
Ability to take constructive criticism
What you can expect from leadership;
“Office hours” available on demand for log review and any general help. Utilize this proactively!!! If you are underperforming, low parsing–get some help beforehand. Don’t wait for ‘that’ DM to come through.
Open, transparent communication
Rosters are posted at the start of the week based on loot wishlists and missing boss kills
If you are sat, there will be obvious and well known reasons–with paths forward and remediation made known privately. No shadow bench.
Boss channels will have pinned weakauras, and each tier will have a multi-page strat document with cooldown and group assignments
Events
Uwugin is our acting community manager, hosting off night events for M+, transmog runs, other games. If there is something you’d like to see us host or play together, let us know!
Raid times
We raid Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 7:00pm to 10pm CST (Illidan Server Time)
If you have planned vacations or know you will miss a raid ahead of time, please post it in the raid attendance channel for tracking purposes.
